Creativity

Creativity is probably one of the most important things in the world to me. I’m surrounded by many extremely creative people from artists, to musicians, teachers, writers, actors and some who fit all of the above categories.

I find it very hard to relate to people who aren’t creative. I like to think I’m creative in my own way, I am a teacher which in itself takes some creativity. I use to draw but turns out I suck at that so I took pretty quickly to photography and music. Still not the best at either of those, but hey there needs to be some sort of creative outlet, whether the end product is good or not.

I’ve never been in a relationship with someone who isn’t creative and I don’t have any friends who do not fit one of, if not all of the aforementioned categories. Creative people move the world. They create a world which we are able to access through their chosen outlet and for this reason they will always amaze me.

I could go on and on about the music I like, or the artists, the writers, but it’s not really the point. The point is without creativity the world would be a really dull place so be thankful for those that engulf us in their chosen creative outlets.

Here’s some links to some of my creative friends and their outlets:

Ben Messih, a great artist and a great person.

The Forest Folk, a great indie band, check them out here on myspace or here on facebook.

Bookish Ardour– For all things books from a talented writer

Super Florence Jam – My friend Alex’s band, amazing guys, just finished an overseas tour.
